The underwater hotel opened in 2009, and has quickly become a playground for the millionaires an elites of high society.
Nestled in the warm waters of a Fijian lagoon, the resort houses 24 sea bed suites and 48 island villas.
The resort, which owns the Island and the surrounding waters calls one tour package, "The Mystery Island Tour" which lets you experience the secluded, relaxing life found in one of the islands private bungalows for 4 nights and the novelty of the undersea suites for two nights.
The packages are all inclusive and includes all amenities such as golf, micro lite lessons, windsurfing, cave exploration and mini sub piloting.
A 7 day stay will cost $15,000 per person, or you can hire the island for a corporate function for £3,000,000, but is what you are getting worth it?
If you want to live the life style of the billionaire playboys then yes it is, the views from above the water on this island are enough to charge ridiculous prices, but to have a glass room on the ocean floor completely justifies the money.
The rooms are shallow enough so that you don’t have to spend too much time in the decompression chamber, and the abundant marine life will have you captivated inside your suite with your nose to the glass.
The rooms themselves are worth the price, but on top of them you get access to things that you could only dream about. The Island is private and has a maximum occupancy of 144, so you will not be bothered by anyone unless you want to be. The price also includes everything from micro-sub piloting to environment lectures from some of the most respected environment biologists.
After flying into the mainland you will be flown first class on the company jet to the Island, where you will be shown to your rooms.
For roughly £15,000 pounds you and your partner can live the life in a James bond Villain's hideout, the only thing it is missing is a volcano! Paying that much more week though, you’d probably spend half of your time on the internet looking for
cheap flights to Miami!
$30,000 is a hell of a lot of money, but the views, experiences and luxury will probably just of the expense, but I wouldn’t suggest saving up to go there. If you have the money then go, if you don’t have the money then look at these pictures and dream like the rest of us.
